Dorsett win EC3 approval

Interdisciplinary consultants McBains Cooper have won approval for Dorsett's latest hotel project in London.

At the City of London planning committee meeting today, the plans for a 256-bed hotel that replaces the 60's office block adjacent to Aldgate tube station were conditionally approved, paving the way for delivery of the new building in 2015.

Dorsett Hospitality, the international hotel operator and developer, bought the property in 2012 and asked McBains Cooper to come up with a design that worked well within the constraints of a difficult site with significant historic and heritage interest.

We provided advice and visualisations throughout pre-planning, including AVR verified views and CGIs for the detailed application. Learn more about this project and other verified view projects at here.
